Rizzler

Origin

Rizzler is built from rizz — the shortened form of “charisma” that won Oxford’s 2023 Word of the Year — with the “-er” suffix marking someone who has it in spades. The term rocketed in 2024 thanks to “the Rizzler,” a young boy whose confident, deadpan videos (often with the Costco Guys, AJ and Big Justice) went massively viral, giving the word a face and turning “rizzler” into a title people hand out to the smoothest person around.

How it’s used

• As a compliment: crowning someone charming (“he defused the whole argument with one joke, real rizzler”).
• As a title: “the rizzler” of a friend group, class, or workplace — the designated charmer.
• Ironically: for someone whose attempt at rizz flops (“opened with a knock-knock joke, our little rizzler”).

It lives in the same charisma-obsessed corner as aura and the chaotic energy of a TikTok Rizz Party. The ultimate rizzler ceiling is, of course, Gigachad.
