Using the site

Memefile is provided for information, commentary, and entertainment. You may browse, search, and use the meme generator for personal and everyday creative use. Don't use the site to break the law, infringe others' rights, scrape at a scale that harms service, or attempt to disrupt or reverse-engineer it.

The meme generator

The generator runs entirely in your browser. Images you create are made on your device; we don't store them. You are responsible for what you create and share. Don't use the generator to produce content that is illegal, harassing, hateful, defamatory, or that infringes someone's copyright, trademark, or privacy. If you upload your own image, you confirm you have the right to use it.

User submissions

If you submit a meme, tip, or correction, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to review, edit, publish, and display it on the site with attribution where appropriate. Only submit material you have the right to share. Submissions are reviewed before publishing and may be declined or edited. Don't submit anything unlawful, hateful, or infringing.

Intellectual property

Memes are cultural artifacts built on images, video, and text that are often owned by others. We present them for commentary, criticism, education, and reference — a transformative, editorial use — with attribution and sourcing where possible. Trademarks and images belong to their respective owners. Our own original writing, layout, branding, and code are owned by Memefile. Pages may embed or link to third-party content (for example videos, or ads). We don't control and aren't responsible for third-party content or sites, and a link isn't an endorsement.

Disclaimer & limitation of liability

The site is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.
