On April 17, 2019, Redditor Viq3579 repurposed a deep-fried version of that image as a ‘math teacher’s’ reaction to the caption ‘Me: uses a different method of solving a math problem’ — and that post is credited as the first to attach the words ‘you dare oppose me mortal’ to the picture.
