Origin¶

The frame is from At Eternity’s Gate, the 2018 biopic directed by Julian Schnabel, in which Willem Dafoe plays Vincent van Gogh. In the shot — which appears in the film’s trailer around the 1:29 mark — van Gogh tilts his head back and gazes upward, mouth slightly open, wearing an expression somewhere between awe and exhaustion.
